Juan is a triple threat at the Center position. He is a prolific scorer, a powerful rebounding presence, and a solid playmaker. As a jack of all trades, he performs well across the court. Like many Centers, he hesitated to shoot 3s during the Combine.
Juan is an engaging and selfless personality. He describes himself as dedicated to winning. He values his team, and doesn’t care about stats, even saying, "I have switched positions and played a lesser role for a teammate to gain the spotlight that he deserved at the time." Juan is a selfless player.
Juan consistently watches film to improve his game. He is both dedicated to his craft and willing to forgive defeat. "You got to move on from a loss," he explains. This attitude should translates to a player with strong potential to improve in the League.
"He was the best center on the board and there was no chance I was waiting until the second round to get him." -Famous Enough
Stanley is a smart, defensive-minded Point Guard that brings flexibility to his game. While his points scored is not as impressive as other high performing Point Guards, he only shoots when necessary; key for any team that wants to play efficiently.
Stanley presents as a kind and genuine person. He works hard for his family, saying, "if I make it into the League it's more money for my family and my sister." He also explains: "I love to bring happiness to people." He emphasizes "wanting what’s best" for his team.
In high school, Stanley won a major championship as a 6'2" Center. His adaptability and coachability should set a high skill ceiling in the League. He values court vision, a trait often underrated by current pros.
"I wanted someone that is going to fight for us on every possession. MaJes7ic brings that to the HEATCheck Gaming." -Famous Enough
"I am proud of my basketball IQ and passing," claims Basil. And this is no exaggeration: he generates an astounding 9.8 assists per game. Basil also brings excellent reflexes to the court, delivering solid steals and shooting percentages. Overall, he is a well-rounded player who can augment any team.
Basil is a successful door-to-door salesman, who brings his amiable personality to 2K. "My gift is talking", explains Basil. "I can easily start conversations and make new friends." But Basil is also deeply kind; he relates a story of how, forming a Canadian 2K team, he paid the tournament entry fees for teammates who couldn't afford to.
Basil will benefit enormously from the structure of the League. He has shown commitment and diligence in many other aspects of his life, and with the ability to fully devote himself to the game he will likely continue to improve.
Carlos is a solid defensive Small Forward. While his accuracy and points scored need improvement, he is strong across almost every other metric.
Carlos easily gave one of the best interviews of the Draft. He is charismatic, easy-going and a joy to speak with. He's "always searched for his passion, and finally found it in NBA 2K. It’s everything to [him]."
Carlos claims he "thrives off constructive criticism." This openness to work hard and maintain a positive attitude likely make him a great fit for the League. If he can learn to shoot inside the 3 as well he does beyond it, he may grow into one of the stronger Small Forwards in the League.
Jalen is a Shooting Guard who excels at passing. He also shoots fairly accurately and grabs defensive boards. But it's his talent for assists which separates Jalen most: setting up his teammates an impressive 7 times per game. Jalen also made it to the finals of an MPBA Showcase tournament.
Jalen is calm, funny and honest. He describes himself as "an easy-going person, charismatic and interested in learning." He claims: "2K is a huge opportunity for me. I spent most of my years growing up in a trailer park, sleeping on a couch because [my family] had financial issues." His story is resonant and compelling, easily making Jalen one of the best interviews of the Draft.
Jalen's demeanor and talent immediately demonstrate his potential. His charisma is palpable and his drive is obvious. He asserts: "I'm all about the win. I don't care about my stats. I encourage constructive criticism and I always do everything that my team needs in order to win." This attitude bodes well for improvement in the League.
Rahmel is a dynamic all around Shooting Guard who puts up strong defensive numbers as well. Rahmel is also a play-maker, moving the ball well. His mid-range game is also strong.
Rahmel is a socially-minded person. He is devoted to making other people around him succeed. Rahmel claims that “the League is the biggest opportunity of his life,” and he is ready to fully commit to it. But his personality is otherwise flat.
Rahmel's statistics alone suggest that he will make an impact in the League. Furthermore, his demeanor and commitment to helping others bode well for future improvement. He presents as the type of player that can catalyze entire teams, despite his unexceptional personality.
